travel & lodging restrictions

*this information is the most updated information we have from the state of maine & the town of york. we will continually update this information as we receive it.

current information as of may 1st, 2021: 

 

at this time, all states are exempt from Maine travel restrictions.

 

should numbers rise and a state is no longer exempt, it will be listed here. non-emempt states will be required to complete one of the steps below.

-if you wish to forgo the 10-day quarantine, adults and children 12 months & older may obtain & receive a negative covid-19 test within 72 hours prior to arrival. PCR based & rapid testing are acceptable. Antibody testing is not accepted at this time.

-individuals who have completed a covid-19 vaccination series and are 14 days beyond the completion of the series are exempt from the testing and 10-day quarantine requirement above, regardless of their state of origin.

-an individual who had a positive covid-19 molecular or antigen test is exempt from the testing and 10-day quarantine requirement above for 90 days (3 months) after their first positive test, provided they remain asymptomatic.

-guests may also quarantine in their suite for the duration of their stay. Guests who are quarantining for the duration of their stay must comply with Maine's quarantine requirements and may not visit restaurants, businesses, crowded public spaces, shared public facilities, or dining rooms.

certificate of compliance, issued by the state of maine.

contactless check-in

-stones throw office is closed to all but crew members at this time. we're still here if you need us! please contact us via phone, text, or email if you need anything.

-lockboxes have been installed outside every room. your room key will be located inside the lockbox & your unique lockbox code and instructions on how to get to your room will be provided to you in the form of a text message (if opted in) shortly before your check-in. simply type the code in & when the box turns green, pull down on both sides of the box to retrieve your key.

-additional information & parking pass will be provided to you inside your room. please let us know when you have arrived & all vehicle information so that we may get you checked in. *to ensure your safety, all lockbox codes are changed between reservations.

please be sure you have provided us with a cell-phone number to best reach you at during your stay.

 

about 3 days prior to your arrival, you will receive a text-message from crane hotel group asking you to opt-in to text messages.

 

once you opt-in, you will be able to communicate with us prior to & during your stay. this will also be how we will provide you with you unique lockbox code to retrieve your room key & instructions on how to get to your room on the day of your arrival. Don't worry, we promise we don't spam you with any marketing!

our crew

our crew has been trained on the latest sanitizing & disinfecting procedures, and is using approved antiviral cleaners. all crew members are wearing masks & conducting temperature checks daily.

housekeeping

-there will be no in-room housekeeping until further notice. are you BIG coffee drinker? make sure you tell us! dry skin? we'll get you extra lotion! we are happy to bring you a customized bag of any necessities you may need more of during your stay with us, just let us know!

 

-You may leave any rubbish or dirty towels in the provided bags outside your room. please let us know & we will exchange them for you! 

-upon check-out, all rooms are opened and aired out for at least one hour prior to our team beginning the cleaning & sanitizing process. we sanitize all frequent-touch areas constantly.

room balances

any room balances will be charged to the card on file upon check-in. if you wish to use a different credit card or a gift certificate for any remaining balance, please let us know prior to check-in.

 

to limit contact, we will not be accepting cash at this time.

york, maine updates

-restaurants in York are currently open for dine-in, takeout, and outdoor dining. we suggest contacting any restaurant directly as services & procedures may differ between businesses

-york beaches are currently open

-cloth face coverings are required indoors and in public settings, regardless of the ability to physical distance

in keeping your reservation, you are agreeing to all hotel policies, which can be found in your confirmation email attachment or on our policies page.

masks are required in hotel hallways, at the restaurant, and anywhere indoors regardless of the ability to physical distance. masks are no longer required in outdoor, public settings unless social distancing is not possible.
